Good morning, PHS, and welcome to Homecoming week! There are plenty of fun activities this week, so let’s start with our sports.
Starting strong this Tuesday, we have Volleyball and Soccer at Home against South Sevier, and then on Thursday we have a golf tournament at the Millsite course, Volleyball at home against Beaver, and a JV football game at Milford. Finally, this Friday we have our big homecoming game against Milford at home, so make sure to cheer on all of our athletes and support them all in their games this week.
This week we also have all of our homecoming activities, including dress-up days, competitions, and after-school activities:
Monday is our “Patriotic” dress-up day, so wear your stars and stripes when you come to school. That night, there is also the Club Opening Social, so come by for barbecue, ice cream, and scholarship opportunities.
The following Tuesday is “Favorite Sport” day, so wear either your uniforms or spirit gear to school. Tuesday is also our first assembly of the week, introducing our Homecoming court and allowing you to vote for the King and Queen.
Wednesday is our “Twin Day,” so grab a buddy and match outfits that day. Wednesday night is also our Game Night, where there will be a grade relay race and junior vs senior Buff Puff and Powder Puff.
Thursday is our “Royal” dress-up day, so wear your fanciest clothes and crown. There will be an assembly to announce our Homecoming King and Queen, along with their 1st and 2nd attendants.
Finally, on Friday, we are dressing up in “Blue & Gold” colors for our football game and having the Homecoming Parade. Each grade will have a float, so make sure they are lined up and ready to be judged.
Throughout the week, there will also be a couple of other competitions and activities, including hall decorating and video making, so be sure to get those ready and submit them in time.
