Shaydon was selected for Small Town All-American Baseball second team.
"The Class 2A player of the year, Benson batted .530 with 37 run, 33 RBI, six doubles, two triples and seven home runs. He also posted a 6-3 record with 91 strikeouts in 43.2 innings pitched." (Max Preps)
