This season was filled with highs and lows. We battled each week, and I feel like we improved each week. If I could summarize this season, it would be with the following quote:
“Tough times don’t define you, they refine you”
I am beyond proud of these boys and the relentless effort they put, and the never give up attitude they had all season.
Football is a great teacher, and I hope this season has taught these boys how to continually give their best, regardless of the outcome.
One thing we teach our players is:
E+R=O(event+response= outcome) There will be events in life/sports that we can control and others we cannot, but our response to those events is what will determine the outcome. The response the team had to the tough times will serve them long after their football careers are over. I love and appreciate all these boys, especially the Seniors for their contributions to the betterment of the program.
